hey Matilde - I will do full documentation eventually of all the necessary bits - but for the time if you look at the mencoder website any of the parameters there can be passed to your conversion in ReduxEncoder, so for example if you had a source with multiple subtitle tracks and you wanted subtitle track 1 you would use the command -sid 1
for now you can enter those commands into the extra audio flags box.

Hi,

First of all I wanted to thank you for your hard work on this project!

My specific question has to do with subtitles. In this update you mention that extra tags can be added manually to include subtitles, but I have no idea what said tags would actually be. I have the videos and the subtitle files, but no idea how to put them together. Any help would be really appreciated!

I will indeed hang tight. I have experimented with just about every video conversion software out there... on both Mac and Windows, from cmd line ffmpeg and mencoder to handbrake to yamb, from tsmuxer to mp4muxer, from VideoCharge to MediaCoder, all the myriad AVS converter wanna-be tools, and throw in Movie Converter Studio, ReelBean, and ClipWrap for good measure. Trust me, none of these work as well as the 2+ year old VisualHub. So yes, we are all desperately waiting for RE v1.2.7 !! And by the way, if it works as well as ViualHub did/does, I would gladly pay for the software. Even if you only have an alpha or beta ready, I'm game. Cheers!

Hi David,
Lots of updates to posts in other areas around the blog, but nothing yet to report on the upcoming release other than most of the codebase has been migrated to ASObjC now from applescript, so hang tight...

thanks for developing this software it looks good. can you suggest a way to circumvent an error that i get? i tried to convert a 4g,1536-bitrate mkv file to mp4 with a G4 PowerBook on 10.5. redux said errors prevented the conversion. these were the errors:

-Audio-,0,2,ita,DTS,48000,6,1,1536000
-Audio-,1,3,eng,AC3,48000,6,64000

thanks
