Well have spent a few more hours on it tonight, have got some code in place pointing to dummy functions for the non working formats. Now it looks like im gonna be spending some time in the terminal compiling many different libraries for the formats.

OK the only working formats at to: All Apple Devices in the menu so iPod 5G, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, iPhone, iPod Touch & AppleTV.
As input files things like avi, mpeg, divx, m4v work fine.
Limited support is there for mkv but only for the output devices above and only at quality level 1.
No other type of conversion works yet! this is still Alpha Code.
In reply to dorin's first posts – to upgrade to the latest build that I have available just click 'Check for Update..' in the Filmredux menu and if there is a newer version it will download it for you.
In reply to dorin's second post, it looks like your entering a value or changing a setting in the advanced panel, can you tell me when changing a value what one causes the error to appear?

Don’t forget you will need to have libfaac installed for anything to work. If you don’t either let firlmredux get it for you or get the installer package of it (Intel 10.5) from here http://www.easelnet.com/app/supportfiles.zip
or (Universal PPC or Intel 10.4 / 10.5) from here
