Well my time with filmredux is going well,. Have added the App Icon, put in a check for the library files with a window to auto download them if needed, Seems all the conversion to apple formats are working already the others need a bit of work. sparkle update has been uploaded so your versions will update to, (if your using my build of it) same link as before
All my files are now signed with a self signed cert, so sparkle can verify them etc.

Your project seems promising but I have a big issue, I can’t convert some MKV files to DVD. I tried directly to DVD and to Quicktime (since you said that the conversions to apple format works better).
Here is the text inside the message box :
“«class taVI» “advancedvideobox’ of «class tabV» “advancedbox” of window “advanced” doesn’t understand the switchText message. (-1708)”
I hope it helps!

Only the 7 devices in the iTunes dropdown list work currently, mkv to mv4 works fine, then i would suggest dropping that file into toast.
Im looking into the dvd section of the code next, once i get my head around http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/ i can incorporate that into a build.

Hey Sylvain,
the mkv issue is now resolved in build 1.0.2d, but Only for the Apple Device Formats, so ipod,ipod5g,ipodclassic,iphone,ipod nano, ipod touch, and appletv.
Conversion to any other format eg DVD will fail as there is no code there to do it yet.
